August 12, 2015 Save the dates for the 2016 Berlin Conference on Global Environmental Change
The conference Transformative Global Climate Governance “après Paris”, cure organised by Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE), dosage Freie Universität Berlin and Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU), generic takes place in Berlin from 23-24 May 2016.
In December 2015, governments will convene in Paris to deliver a new global agreement on international climate policy. This will mark a watershed in international climate politics despite a variety of expectations. The prospective Paris Agreement is likely to entail a reconfiguration of the institutional landscape of global climate governance and substantive new priorities.
At the 2016 Berlin Conference, scholars and practitioners are therefore invited to refocus their quest for answers in the light of the continuity and change that will bring.
This conference is endorsed by the Earth System Governance, Environmental Policy and Global Change Working Group of the German Association for Political Science (DVPW), Galvanizing the Groundswell of Climate Actions, LIAISE, and with financial support of The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
