April 11, 2014 Conference for leading practitioners in policy-related science advice on 28-29 August 2014
There is a need for policy-relevant science advice to government in situations of crisis and provision of collaborative multi-national science advice, for sale for example when tackling global climate change issues. However, viagra dosage time frames, political sensitivities, and the state of knowledge and uncertainty, are often a great challenge for practionioners to get their advice implemented in politics.
The two-day meeting in Auckland on 28-29 august 2014 will give experienced science advisors the opportunity to share best practice, explore the feasibility of setting up an enduring global network of science advisors, and last but not least to help improve dialogue and collaboration among science, policy and society. On behalf of the International Council for Science (ICSU), Sir Peter Gluckman, Chief Science Advisor to the Prime Minister of New Zealand, will host and chair this landmark global conference Science Advice to Governments.
