As Director, Magnus develops the strategy and capacity of SSEESS to promote Swedish involvement in international Global Environmental Change collaborations. Magnus has extensive experience in international relations, pill strategy development and analysis, management of research infrastructures, networks and programmes. His research expertise lies in terrestrial ecology, conservation biology, and Arctic and Antarctic research with terrestrial expeditions and marine cruises.

Administrative Officer

Britta takes on the role as Administrative Officer for SSEESS, including budget management, project accounting, and the compiling of financial statements and annual reports. She also supports the team in working with different seminars and events. Britta’s previous work experiences, especially as Accountant at the development cooperation organisation “We effect” and as Finance Coordinator at the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP), are of significant importance to the SSEESS Secretariat.

Research and Communications Officer

Kim has a background as a researcher in archaeology with focus on long term land use, GIS methodology and human-landscape interaction. She has extensive experience in working with global networks with the aim of linking human and Earth system history through the integration of knowledge and resources from the biophysical and the social sciences and the humanities. Her role as Research and Communications Officer at SSEESS includes building collaboration among science communities and among funding agencies, managing grant schemes, running events, as well as doing editorial work on the SSEESS website, social media and print materials, and evaluating SSEESS communications activities.
